Animal & Dairy Sciences Golf Classic

Thank you to our generous sponsors and donors of the Animal and Dairy Sciences Classic!

Listen to Animal and Dairy Sciences undergraduate students Jenna Gries and Clarissa Ulness talk about how proceeds from the Animal and Dairy Sciences Classic have enhanced their education and college experience outside the classroom in this recent LinkedIn post.

Some examples of the high impact learning experiences include:

  • Touring and auditing a dairy farm during the Purina Experience.
  • Attending seminars and networking with industry leaders during the Leading Producers Conference.
  • Exploring new technologies at the headquarters of Purina with their fellow students from UW-Platteville and UW-River Falls.
  • And growing their consulting skills at the Midwest Dairy Challenge.

Huge thank you to all the attendees of the 2023 golf outing! We cannot thank you enough for your support and contribution to The Department of Animal & Dairy Sciences!

The golf outing is the department’s primary fundraising event. Proceeds from the Animal & Dairy Sciences Golf Outing support undergraduate student scholarships and high impact learning experiences such as intercollegiate competitive teams, student travel, hands-on learning laboratories and undergraduate research. Previous outings have raised nearly $20,000 for those programs.

The Golf Classic is a scramble, where each team member plays the ball closest to the hole after each shot. Registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, lunch and prizes for a fee of $175 per golfer.
