Animal Science/Dairy Science 101 Credit by Exam

General Information

The Animal and Dairy Sciences department offers exams to students who want to earn credit for Animal Science/Dairy Science 101. The exam is offered after SOAR in the summer before a student starts in the program.

These exams are only for incoming freshman who have taken substantial animal science courses in high school and who desire to establish college credits for Animal Science/Dairy Science 101.

Two locations provide the materials for teachers to use in course development.

Registration for Exam

  • Take place after student is registered for enrollment at UW-Madison and has an ID number
  • Exam will occur after SOAR
  • Please pre-register for this exam by contacting Liv Sandberg

Before the Exam

Students who plan to take the exam will already have studied material through animal science courses offered. The following resources may help in reviewing before the exam.

After the Exam

The student will need to receive a score of at least 80% in order to receive credit for Animal Science/Dairy Science 101. Exam results will be sent to the student’s official wisc.edu email.
