Research Area:
My research concerns how endocrine signaling, particularly through insulin, alters amino acid signaling and use in the mammary gland to guide milk synthesis. I use both murine and bovine models of lactation to assess how these endocrine and nutritent signals and substrates affect metabolism at both the cellular and organismal levels.
