The Animal Care Technician III position is a lead worker position at Blaine Dairy and is involved in all aspects of the operation, with primary focus on herd health and research. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, animal health observations, routine and clinical animal care treatments, animal handling, milking, feeding, cleaning, routine equipment maintenance, and research data collection. The incumbent in this position also plays a key role in leading, training, and supervising staff employees, student employees, as well as student researchers in the facility in the absence of the facility manager or animal care supervisors.
