Why did you decide to attend UW-Madison?
I first started out in the Farm and Industry Short Course Program because I knew many farmers and industry people who had attended the program. Then after graduating, I decided I really wanted to pursue a bachelor’s degree because I realized how much I enjoyed being in college, and that I could do it.
What has been your most memorable college experience?
Being enrolled in clubs like Collegiate Farm Bureau and Badger Dairy Club helped me to meet many new faces and develop friendships that will last a lifetime.
What has been your favorite course?
I have really enjoyed the dairy herd management courses here in the 4 year program. They use the scientific information we learn and apply it to real life situations we will encounter in the dairy industry.
What are your future career goals?
After graduation I will return to a 110 cow dairy farm I have worked on for about 7 years and work my way into an ownership position. I plan to stay involved in professional organizations like PDPW and Wisconsin Farm Bureau because of all the benefits that I have received from these organizations.
