Meet Jesse Brookstein, new outreach specialist with MSABD

We are excited to announce that Jesse Brookstein has joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Animal & Dairy Science Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery program as an outreach specialist.
After a national candidate search, Jesse was selected among a highly competitive pool of candidates. Jesse will be working with Jeff Sindelar and will be responsible for management, coordination, and involvement of all facets of the Master Meat Crafter training program. In addition, he will provide assistance with a variety of Meat Science Extension short courses, workshops, seminars, as well as a variety of other activities.
Jesse most recently worked at the University of Wisconsin Union, representing dining & hospitality clients throughout Memorial Union, Union South, and all the outlying Badger Market units around campus (Feed Bag being the closest market to the MSABD building).
Prior to working at UW-Madison, Jesse spent close to two decades in the beer industry, working as the Marketing Manager at Working Draft Beer Co in Madison, and prior to that co-founding Call to Arms Brewing Co in Denver, CO, and working as Packaging Manager at Avery Brewing Co in Boulder, CO.
Jesse has a B.A. in Human Communication from State University of New York at Oswego and is a self-published author and sole proprietor of Karate Right Publishing. Jesse also loves landjaeger and has recently published a book on this topic.
