Glen Broderick, Luis Ferraretto and Jimena Laporta honored by the American Dairy Science Association

The American Dairy Science Association (ADSA®), the international organization of educators, scientists, and industry representatives who are committed to advancing the dairy industry, recently announced the winners of professional and student awards for 2021, including three individuals from UW-Madison’s Department of Animal & Dairy Sciences. All award winners will be recognized during the association’s annual meeting.

The department’s awardees are:

Glen Broderick, professor emeritus in the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences and owner of Broderick Nutrition & Research LLC, is the 2021 recipient of the ADSA Distinguished Service Award.

Luiz Ferraretto, assistant professor in the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences, is the 2021 recipient of the Lallemand Forward Award for Scientific Excellence in Dairy Nutrition.

Jimena Laporta, assistant professor in the Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences, is the 2021 recipient of the ADSA Foundation Scholar Award in Dairy Production.
