Why did you decide to attend UW-Madison?
UW-Madison has great prestige within the academic field. CALS specifically has a reputation and influence arising from the success, achievement, and rank of its alumni within the dairy industry. I wanted to attend a school with widespread respect, admiration, and acclaim; UW-Madison met those demands.
What has been your most memorable college experience?
19th Badger Invitation Sale allowed my peer group to work together as team. This experience is where rigor and achievement met because of our efforts as a team. As one of the four consignment selection chairmen, we selected 43 live lots of Registered Holstein and Brown Swiss dairy cattle grossing $102,340 in sales
What has been your favorite course?
My favorite course has been dairy science 205. This has allowed me to gain a better understanding of dairy cattle evaluation, marketing, and sale tactics in order to accommodate for all types dairy cattle across the entire industry.
What are your future career goals?
I am evaluating different options within the Consumer-Packaged-Goods Industry. College allows for career exploration. It took me nearly my entire collegiate tenure before I found the many opportunities within the CPG Industry. Many CPG companies rely on agriculture, so working within a CPG company will directly impact the dairy industry.
