DESCRIPTION:Title: ” Expanding isotopic tracing studies across livestock models to probe at metabolism.”\nSpeakers: Linda Beckett\, PhD\, is currently a postdoctoral research associate at Purdue University in the Department of Animal Sciences. Dr. Beckett is a 2024 USDA postdoctoral fellowship recipient where her current research focuses on the bioactivity of colostrum on neonatal piglet liver metabolism. Dr. Beckett is also part of the NextGen Scientist Cohort with the National Dairy Council\, a professional development fellowship for early career professionals. Dr. Beckett earned her PhD in dairy cattle nutritional physiology from Purdue University\, M.S. in ruminant nutrition from Virginia Tech\, and two B.S. degrees\, one in Animal and Poultry Science and one in Dairy Science\, from Virginia Tech. In her spare time\, Dr. Beckett enjoys hanging out with her pets\, cuddling with piglets and calves\, traveling\, and watching Virginia Tech football.
