SUMMARY:2020 Dave Dickson Memorial Golf Outing Canceled
DESCRIPTION:Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and directives from the chancellor’s office regarding campus events and the Wisconsin governor’s office to cancel all gatherings of more than ten attendees\, this year’s Dave Dickson Memorial Golf Outing scheduled for May 13 at the University Ridge Golf Course is cancelled. Those that have signed up to golf or for sponsorships will receive full refunds. \n\nThe golf outing is an event we look forward to with great anticipation as it gives us a chance to reconnect with our alumni and stakeholders.  Additionally\, the event provides vital support for the department’s undergraduate student scholarship program and high impact learning activities such as student travel\, hands-on learning laboratories\, and undergraduate research.  Like you\, we are disappointed by this cancellation but our plan is to bring back the outing for everyone’s enjoyment in May 2021.  Thank you for understanding our decision and we hope you include the golf outing in your plans for next spring.  Be well and stay safe.
