Dr. Wentworth joined the Poultry Science Department factuality in 1969 as an Associate Professor, with the special focus being avian reproductive physiology. In this faculty position, he did research, taught Avian Physiology and served on numerous University Committees. During his facility career, he served as the Poultry Department Chairperson, as the President of the Poultry Science Association. He was a primary force in establishing a multi-state center for poultry education. While being on the university faculty he served in the US Army Reserves, where he retired as a Colonel.
